Happy Weekend!

globes2014noms

It has been such a busy and freezing week! The temperatures were below 10 degrees in Philadelphia since Monday and thank goodness for such a beautiful weekend to make up it. This week I was able to attend a tasting of the new Yard’s Seasonal Beer, Rye and attend the premiere party of the new LUSH Spa last night (posts coming soon!). All weekend I plan on hitting the gym (possibly shopping this sale) and I’m going to see the Philadelphia Orchestra perform tomorrow evening as well! Scored some amazing seats from the PECO Power Hour opportunity back in December, can’t beat orchestra pit tickets for only $10 a pop.

Also, glorious Red Carpet season starts on Sunday! Are you looking forward to the Golden Globes? Who do you want to win? Tell me! I am sure to be live tweeting during the whole affair, hopefully you can join me. AND the premiere of GIRLS is back ::fan girl scream:: I’ll be glued to my couch all evening. What are you up to this weekend?

Happy Weekend!

wolf-of-wall-street_784x0

It’s the weekend and my favorite person is back from Israel! Scott and I are having a Friday daytime date and we’re painting the town red by seeing The Wolf of Wall Street, Anchorman 2, going to PYT for lunch and possibly the River Rink at Penn’s Landing at night. So much to squeeze in before the end  of the holiday season in Philly, its going to be a little bit before the city becomes alive again in the early spring. Good thing, red carpet season is upon us, hence why I am kicking off the weekend with Leo and his brand new Golden Globe nominated Best Musical/Comedy, Best Actor movie.

Happy Weekend!

01473_GRMV_NovEblast_Wk1bHappy Weekend! [Now go eat some chocolate].

Tonight begins the first of many holiday parties that I will be attending this holiday season. Some parties are for work and others are for play, but I’m looking forward to all of them. Also, I don’t mind picking up a few extra things to play dress up with due to my planner becoming booked up for the rest of the year! The rest of the weekend I’m going to spend planning a few trips coming up in the next few weeks and finalizing some holiday gift guide lists. If you are staying in Philadelphia tonight, I would suggest going to…

Mast Brother’s Chocolate Book Signing at Art in the Age! I LOVE Mast Brother’s Chocolate especially the anchor wrapping paper of the chocolate bar above. The sea salt chocolate is my favorite and I highly recommend it! Not only do you have the chance to try some of their delicious desserts, but the Mast Brothers’ will be there to share their unique story and recipes from Mast Brothers Chocolate: A Family Cookbook.

Happy Weekend!

J Crew Opening Jade & The CityAhh Friday, we meet again. I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to kicking off a fun filled weekend. Work this week was super busy. From a display load in, two press conferences and holiday event planning, phew – I am looking forward to two days off. I went to a fantastic dinner Tuesday night with some fellow blogging buddies to hear about the new marketing campaign for Swarovski! [More on that next week]. Wednesday night, I got to see my old boss from Philly.com sing an acoustic set at the Art Alliance, what a gorgeous old building in Rittenhouse Square and a beautiful performance. Tonight I’ll be checking out an event at a local advertising agency with Scott, but tomorrow night…

We’ll be going to dinner at Sbraga! Like most people, we have a list must try restaurants in Philadelphia and our friends were kind enough to give us a gift card for our birthdays last month. So how excited am I to go to a Top Chef Kevin Sbraga’s restaurant – VERY. The four course prix fix menu already has me day dreaming at work. I promise to take photos!

Sweets and Treats for Halloween

Told you October is the best month of the entire year. I honestly can’t believe November is tomorrow and Halloween is today! I have always loved getting dressed up for Halloween, making costumes from my finds at thrift stores was always a favorite shopping trip of mine. However this year, I did buy a costume – you’ll just have to wait until tomorrow night on Instagram to see it!

ellelauri wildfoxcouture

However, when I was at work this week I couldn’t help but stop by the ellelauri window (all of your should as well, this is one of my new favorite boutiques). If getting dressed up for Halloween isn’t your thing, ellelauri has chic apparel from Wild Fox Couture available. I’m sure the comfy sweater and blouses will get you into the spirit of Halloween.

Another fun treat I plan on picking up tonight are Spodee Red Velvet Cupcakes from Sweetbox Cupcakes on 13th Street. They are only available today, if you want to pick one up – don’t forget to use #SpodeeTrickOrTreat for social media! (Honestly, you’ll want to brag about this Halloween treat).

Happy Weekend!

rain

It’s the weekend and the rain is here to stay for a little bit. I have been on the hunt for a new pair of short rain boots to make my commute to work a little bit easier and more stylish! I love my pair of Hunter Rain Boots – but I can only rock Hunter Green for so long, alas it doesn’t go with every single outfit. Despite the rain, its date night! Part two of my birthday present from Scott we’re going to the Pinot Botique in Olde City for a wine tasting, then we’re having dinner at Kanella – a perfect little Greek BYOB.

Here’s what I scored this week during the great sales at work: JCrew | LOFT | Express
